20-27 Jun

Yep, really far behind...right now I don't know if I'm coming or going.

20 Jun:  I've got veggies growing in my garden from my compost again.  Too bad I won't be around to enjoy them this year.

21 Jun:  The ducks are guarding my lilies

22 Jun:  Next oil shipment arrived

23 Jun:  The 21 year old Balvenie that I go Mark for his birthday is finally being taxed.  No need to take it with me.

24 Jun:  Flowers in my gardern

25 Jun:  I was working to clean out the offices when Mark told me to get the camera quickly.  These guys were literally right over our house.  It was a wonderful night for ballooning, and we got our own personal show.  There were a total of 10 or more in the air gliding by.

26 Jun:  NCR had it's annual fireworks.  Luckily the rain cleared out for a spectacular evening.  Mark and I found a great spot to sit right on the #1 tee of the South Course as the fireworks were going off of #9 and #10.  I'm still working my way through all the pictures, but there are some real nice ones.

17-19 Jun 11

17 June:  Friday was a late night... I took an earlier flight home to play golf in the couples wine and nine at NCR.  Wine tasting stations every 3 holes...what a fun time.

During that time, I was also negotiating the house in Utah.  I got the one I wanted!  It was almost midnight when I realized I hadn't taken a picture, so I tried on my new running 'shoes'

18 Jun:  I have no clue what this flower is, but it was on the golf course...

19 Jun:  My hostas after the rain

16 Jun

Well, it must be official....

I put together a spreadsheet this morning to analysize the house options...I kept coming to the same conclusion.  Then I went and looked at both houses again.  How can anyone resist this:

Yes, I put an offer in on the house that has spectacular views.  The layout worked best as well.  Now to see what happens.

Okay, so here's the real picture:

14-15 Jun

14 Jun:  Not the best of shot...I spent the morning with my new office.  I think this is going to be a great job!  It is strange knowing so much about my upcoming job prior to ever showing up in the office.  It also seems like it will be a great group of people.

Househunting tonite was not as successful as I had hoped it would be.  The one that I thought would be good, was the best we saw, but still had concerns on how to fit into it.

15 Jun:  Househunting went better.  I've found two houses that I could like.  Unfortunately they are a bit higher priced than I wanted to spend.  However, with a view similar to this from the master bedroom...

11 Jun

We golfed in Columbus today at New Albany Country Club.  Nice course...

I needed Mark's putter to help get this flower in view better...then I dropped it in the water.  It hasn't been much use this year anyhow, as he keeps missing all sorts of putts...

Yes, I recovered the putter...

10 Jun 11

It rained today, for the first time in about two weeks...house looks good, the landscaper cleaned up the gardens and mulched.  In addition they took out one of the trees right up next to the house.  It really looks good.  I'm sure the original design would have been better, but given the situation it was the best we could do.

However, I'm always intrigued by water droplets...

6-9 Jun 11

Finally got official notification of my move this week.  Still waiting on orders, but at least I have a report date!

6 Jun:  Gina gave Mark her bible from her deployment to Somalia and a knitted case to go with it.

7 Jun:

8 Jun:  I forgot the name of this orchid...

9 Jun:  Not a clue what type of flower this is...most likely a weed.  Last year it had pretty flowers, so I was hesitant to pull it.  Since the yard guys are coming tomorrow to spruce up the beds, it may be gone shortly...

4-5 Jun (Clare MI)

We flew up to see Lynn, Bob, Mike, Kelly, Matt and Justine on Sat.  Went for a nice bike ride (ouch am I sore...).  Then some fun on the boat.

4 Jun:
The group (yes, I'll send the disk, in case you are reading this Lynn....):

Sunset on the lake with the loonies (oops, I mean loon)

5 Jun:
This guy was building his nest.  There is no cropping on these pictures...

27 May - 3 Jun

Yep, really behind again.  We had a whirl-wind of a week.  The shorter the work week, the more that seems to happen!

27 May:
After thoroughly cleaning and straightening the house for a showing, we left for the 4 day weekend in Cleveland.  Actually got to fly (well Mark did, but we didn't have to drive!)

28 May:  This family of geese wanted to play golf!

29 May:  We played Firestone CC South, the one they hold the Bridgestone Invitational on each Aug.  Wonderful course, although I wasn't happy with the women's tees (seemed to just be haphazardly put out), so I ended up playing back with Mark. Yikes!
We wandered town after dinner.  I ended up hand-holding my night shots, since a piece of my tripod was MIA...later found (thank goodness)
